Back to the roots – back to paper.

I already spoke about the Emergent Task Planner by David Seah in my personal blog back in January but emendatio can’t exist without mentioning David Seahs great work.

The Emergent Task Planner (ETP) takes your To-Do and Most Important Tasks lists back to the table and back to paper. The ETP is a very useful tool produced for scheduling, planning, and estimating activities or projects.

A good productivity form is one that provides focus and stability for the day as a support tool. If the form makes you think too much, it just isn’t as useful. Adding the weighted value points mixed planning and production together in a way that was not useful during the day.

Beside the ETP David Seah also developed the Compact Calendar, a printable one-sheet calendar with a compact layout and lots of space for personal notes, stuff and annotations.

Also worth mentioning is the Task Order Up! sheet that perfectly supports the ETP by letting you focus on one single task and go more into detail.

All three tools by David Seah are really great to work with and improved my personal productivity during the last months while writing on my thesis quite a lot.
